Dr. Lynn Almloff

Dr. Lynn Almloff, DAOM is a Level II Certified Clinical Thermographer (CCT) by the American College of Clinical Thermology (ACCT).

Dr Almloff has been a licensed healthcare practitioner since 1979. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Loyola University New Orleans, a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (TAI) which today is the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) and an advanced (specialty in Women’s Health) Doctorate Degree In Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM).
Throughout her health care career Dr. Almloff has focused on preventive and holistic measures. As a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) starting in 1997 she has worked with many women with breast cancer and autoimmune disorders. Over the years she wondered if the condition had been found earlier perhaps treatment and outcomes would be easier/better for the patient.

In 2011 an Acupuncture colleague told Dr. Almloff of how she had trained and integrated medical thermography into her practice. At the same time Dr. Almloff received notice that she was due for her annual mammogram. Dr Almloff decided to travel to visit her colleague in Vermont for a full body and breast study. Impressed with the process and report, Dr Almloff decided that she wanted to make thermography available in Hampton Roads.

In 2012 Dr. Almloff opened Virginia Thermography. She operates in a dedicated room within her office and is available most weeks throughout the year.
